There's no single answer to what a day looks like in this business, because a lot of it is self-directed, but here's the honest shape of it.
Early on, most of the work is relationship-building: conversations with people you already know, expanding who you know, and learning the technical side well enough to have real conversations about their situation. That's not glamorous, and it's not supposed to be. It's the actual work.
As you build a client base, the mix shifts. More of your time goes toward servicing existing relationships, and some toward developing new ones, plus whatever training or team-building you take on if you decide to grow beyond just your own book of business. Nobody hands you a schedule. You build one around what actually moves the business forward, which is exactly why this fits some people well and doesn't fit others at all.
